Description
The active substance anastrozole belongs to the group of aromatase inhibitors and is used to treat postmenopausal women with breast cancer. The effect is based on the inhibition of the aromatase enzyme, which plays an essential role in the formation of estrogen. Inhibition of aromatase inhibits the conversion of androgens into estrogens and thus prevents the growth of hormone-dependent tumor cells.
